1953 Studebaker

Let’s keep the factory look of this 1953 Studebaker. That was the theme of this fabrication and installation.

Stock Appearance, New Sound

We fabricated a custom rear deck, and upholstered it to look great. Only the owner knows that the rear deck now hides large, great-sounding stereo speakers. We applied the same upholstering techniques to the kick panels in the front, and installed a set of premium Alpine Type R coaxial speakers. The sound is smooth and accurate.

Hidden Stereo

We kept the factory radio. Why? Because installed a modern stereo, hidden in the trunk. Now, with the wireless remote control, this Studebaker’s owner can control hours of digital music at car shows or on the road, without spoiling the classic 1953 look.
