1932 Chrysler

Mike is a very long term customer of Sound Investment. He was probably the first true competitor for the shop and he won almost all of the shows he entered back in the 90’s. Today he is the proud owner of this heirloom 1932 Chrysler. To give Mikey what he deserved, the audio system needed to be superb.

First, we custom-fabricated a steel mount (thanks Matt) at the bottom of the dash. This housed the Clarion 7″ motorized DVD head unit. Next, we made a set of kick panels to house the Sony XS-GS1720S 6.5″ component speakers. The interior of the car was a bit dated and needed an upgrade, so we built four new door panels and rear window trim. The rear window trim would become the location for the new rear speakers. For this location we chose the Sony XS-GS6920, 6″X9″ coaxial speakers. The Sony XM-GS100 mono block and XM-GS400 4 channel amplifiers are located just below the rear glass. Finally, The Sony XS-GS120LD 12” subwoofer is located out of sight in a custom ported enclosure behind the back seat.

Thank you, Mike, for allowing us the opportunity to work on your super-cool car.
